Message: Weather issues...The weather forecast for western NC stated cold and windy, but it did not state any chance of precipitation. Well, they got that wrong! The last two hours of driving tonight were treacherous to say the least. Cars and trucks slipping off the two lane curvy mountainous roads with snow and very strong wind gusts. The good news is that I made it into Boone for a hotel. Will check out conditions in the morning to see if I head out or wait for better roads. Stay tuned!
