You might check your check your PL-259 connectors.. I lost 40M and 80M once on my
Scorpion antenna.. I was stumped for awhile trying to figure out what was going on.
I started checking my connections and found the PL-259 connector that screwed onto my
Scorpion had a faulty soldering job. Cut it off, replaced it and my problem was solved.
Do you use any type of auto antenna tuner such as a TuneMatic or a TurboTuner?? If you do,
you might want to remove it from your system and see if you can tune your antenna manually
for the bands you are missing. Just some thoughts from a long time Scorpion user.
I have managed to blow out the reed sensor on my Scorpion a time, or two.
When that's happened, you can only manually tune it unless you use a TurboTuner which
only uses RF for tuning. A Tunematic will do you no good with a blown reed sensor since
since it uses the pulse count and RF.... Good luck finding your problem, Karl!
