As some of you know, I had antenna problems after I left Jefferson, IL
yesterday when I was heading south to catch Carlisle, KY for KJ8f's
WBOW for the 3rd time. My Screwdriver antenna would not budge from
it's low point of 10M. Since 10M and 12M operating points are close
on my screwdriver, I could still operate from both of those bands. I
decided to continue on to Carlisle, KY thinking I could always take everything
out of my backseat, lift it up and hopefully find the problem with my antenna.

Once I got to Carlisle, I thought I'd run 12M and 10M to see who I might be
able to hear and Sharon, KJ8F, was there with a nice 55 signal. I heard her
on 10M as well with the same 55 signal. I only had a couple of contacts on each
band I was amazed KJ8F was one of them. I hope she went and bought some lottery
tickets that night or went to the casino, I'm sure she would have won big!!

My question is: Does anyone know of someone finishing up the WBOW whether it was
the first time or the nth time with a 12M contact?? Is there anyway to find this out??
I'm thinking it's probably a first. Anyway, congratulations, Sharon!!
