Message: I received enough log data to recover 41 of the 42 Mobile Diamond transmits that I lost due to my voice recorder's microphone failure. In total, I added 95 transmitted counties on the trip, and have a total of 292 so far.
Thank you all very much for the effort you made to help me recover.
In the future, I'm going to check the recorder more frequently. The record light worked, and the meters on the LCD display seemed to indicate all was well, but that was not the case.
Also, in the future, I think I can use the audio recording feature of the ICOM IC-7100. It is not designed to record CW, but if the monitor function is turned on, I believe it will work as a backup. For SSB, it would definitely work. Using an inserted SD card, it makes an audio file of each transmission and labels each with the time and frequency. You just need to make sure that it is turned on!
So, thanks again, and lesson (hopefully) learned. Also, if you worked me on 17 or 20 meters while I was in Bottineau ND on June 12 around 2145-2200 UTC, let me know. You could be the last contact to complete my last missing transmitted county.
